Amir Khan vs. Lamont Peterson
This episode features light welterweights Amir Khan, aka 'King Khan', (26-1, 18 KOs) defending the WBA (Super) and IBF titles for the first time against Lamont 'Havoc' Peterson (29-1, 15 KOs). It was billed as the Capital Showdown from the Convention Center in Peterson's hometown of Washington, D.C., USA on December 10, 2011. After the bruising battle ended with a controversial split decision, Khan's camp launched an appeal that forced the IBF to order a rematch. The rematch never happened.
