MEGA Fights are premiere events from the sport of boxing including HBO World Championship Boxing, historic PPV events plus past, current and future World Champions. This episode features light welterweights Amir Khan, aka 'King Khan', (26-1, 18 KOs) defending the WBA (Super) and IBF titles for the first time against Lamont 'Havoc' Peterson (29-1, 15 KOs). It was billed as the Capital Showdown from the Convention Center in Peterson's hometown of Washington, D.C., USA on December 10, 2011. After the bruising battle ended with a controversial split decision, Khan's camp launched an appeal that forced the IBF to order a rematch. The rematch never happened.
